We need a problem-solver and someone who will fight for all New Yorkers, says Donovan
U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley (R,C,Reform) today announced that she has earned the endorsement of Congressman Dan Donovan (NY-11) in her campaign to unseat incumbent Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Donovan’s district includes Staten Island and South Brooklyn.
The latest endorsement comes on the heels of growing support from grassroots sources and elected officials across New York State, including former Governor George Pataki, Rep. Peter King (NY-2), Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21), Rep. John Faso (NY-19), Claudia Tenney (NY-22) and former U.S. Senator Alfonse D’Amato. D'Amato, an early backer of Gillibrand, subsequently threw his support behind Farley’s candidacy, he said, because Gillibrand “abandoned New Yorkers in her pursuit of her presidential ambitions.”
"Chele Farley is a mother, a businesswoman and a New Yorker with a record of getting things done in a private-sector career spanning more than 25 years," said Congressman Dan Donovan.
Donovan added, "While Kirsten Gillibrand spends all her time trying to obstruct President Trump so she can run for president, it’s hard to think of a single thing she has done for the people of Staten Island and South Brooklyn. We need a problem-solver and someone who will fight for all New Yorkers, and that’s why I’m enthusiastically supporting Chele Farley.”
Farley thanked Donovan for his support saying, “Washington is taking more of New York’s tax dollars and Kirsten Gillibrand is part of the problem. She hasn’t lifted a finger to recover the $48 billion-per-year of New Yorkers’ money divvied up by Washington insiders and distributed to other states. I am grateful for Congressman Donovan’s support in the fight to finally put New York first. Staten Islanders and Brooklynites are rallying to our message, and I look forward to their support on Election Day.”
