Farley Statement on Rash of Bomb Threats

For Immediate Release: October 24, 2018

New York, New York  US Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C and Reform) released the following statement in regards to the recent rash of bomb threats and attacks on public officials.

“The news that explosive devices have been delivered to President Obama, Senator Clinton and CNN is deeply troubling and we all pray for the safety of everyone involved, especially our first responders who bravely run toward the danger.

"At this time, we don’t know who perpetrated these bomb threats, it may be the work of a sole lunatic or it may be a more insidious calculated effort to further sow distrust and division among us. But what we do know is that the tone and the rhetoric used by too many on both sides of the aisle have reached a fevered pitch. We do know that the politics of resistance and resentment have taken on a level of anger that must be cooled.

"Our elections are tough and often times negative because so much is at stake for the future of our state and country. In times of crisis and threat, we must set aside what divides us and remember, whatever our party or political philosophy, that we are all New Yorkers and Americans, blessed to live in the greatest state and the greatest country this world has ever known.”

Chele Farley is an outsider with over 25 years of experience in the private sector. She is the Republican, Conservative and Reform Party candidate for U.S. Senate.
