FARLEY STATEMENT ON THE NEED FOR RESPONSIBLE DISCOURSE

For Immediate Release: October 29, 2018

New York, New York
 – US Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) issued the following statement on the need to have responsible discourse in light of the terrible shooting in Pittsburgh on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

“Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, ‘Jews were killed in a synagogue. They were killed because they are Jews. The location was chosen because it is a synagogue.’ I will add they were also killed because of the clear anti-semitism which sadly has been conferred a degree of legitimacy in our political discourse.

My opponent, Senator Gillibrand, was once a stalwart ally of Israel, but in recent years she has steadily backed away from those views in her dogged pursuit of the White House. Today, Senator Gillibrand counts herself among those allies who work for the likes of Linda Sarsour “on the inside.” It’s time all people of conscience say no more. It’s time we all take responsibility for our own rhetoric. We must drive anti-semitism out of our public discourse. I’m calling on Senator Gillibrand to join that effort by ending her dangerous association with Linda Sarsour.”

Chele Farley is an outsider with over 25 years of experience in the private sector. She is the Republican, Conservative and Reform Party candidate for U.S. Senate. Farley lives in New York City with her husband Richard and their three sons. For more information about U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley, please visit www.CheleFarleyforSenate.com.
