Farley Unveils New Targeted Statewide Ad: 'Lunacy'

For Immediate Release: October 16, 2018

New York, New York -- Heading into this weekend’s NY1/Capitol Tonight debate, U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) today released a new ad called “Lunacy” blasting Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for her radical support for abolishing US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The ad began airing today in targeted areas across the state. Watch the ad here or by clicking below.

“With New Yorkers facing real threats from terrorists, sex-traffickers and ruthless machete-wielding international gangs like MS-13, Kirsten Gillibrand’s solution is to abolish ICE -- that is the definition of lunacy,” said Farley.

ICE was formed in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks which were planned and perpetrated, in part, by conspirators who violated our immigration laws. In March 2003 the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement was reorganized under the new Department of Homeland Security and is known today as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE.

In the last year alone, criminals arrested by ICE were responsible for more than 76,000 dangerous drug offenses, 48,000 assaults, 2,000 kidnappings and almost 2,000 murders. Over the past five years, ICE has become instrumental in fighting the MS-13 gang which has attempted to tighten its grip on immigrant communities around the country, most notably on Long Island.

“As MS-13 ravages communities on Long Island and feeds gang violence in cities across upstate, we need more resources to fight back. Kirsten Gillibrand’s wacky 2020 socialist agenda isn’t just out of touch with New Yorkers, it’s dangerous,” said Farley.

“Lunacy” Script:

Chele: Kirsten Gillibrand says we should get rid of ICE.

Gillibrand: “I think we should get rid of ICE."

Chele: “ICE was created to fight terrorism, sex trafficking, and to combat brutally violent gangs like MS-13, which are killing our children."

Gillibrand: “I think we should get rid of ICE.”

Chele: "Last year alone criminals arrested by ICE were responsible for more than 76,000 dangerous drug offenses, 48,000 assaults, 2,000 kidnappings, and almost 2,000 murders. Yet Gillibrand wants to get rid of ICE."

Gillibrand: "I think we should get rid of ICE."

Chele: "Not only did law enforcement experts call Gillibrand’s idea leftist lunacy…it should be pretty clear to everyone… Gillibrand must be fired.

I’m Chele Farley and I approve this message."
