Buffalo, New York - U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) today announced that she has earned the endorsement of Congressman Chris Collins (NY-27) in her campaign to unseat incumbent Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
The latest endorsement comes on the heels of growing support from grassroots sources and elected officials across New York State, including former Governor George Pataki, Reps. Peter King (NY-2), Elise Stefanik (NY-21), John Faso (NY-19), Claudia Tenney (NY-22), John Katko (NY-24), Dan Donovan (NY-11) and Tom Reed (NY-23). Former Senator Alfonse D'Amato, an early backer of Gillibrand, subsequently threw his support behind Farley’s candidacy, he said, because Gillibrand “abandoned New Yorkers in her pursuit of her Presidential ambitions.”
“Chele Farley is an outsider with the skills and experience to shake up the Washington status quo,” said Rep. Collins, the first member of Congress to endorse Donald Trump for President. “Kirsten Gillibrand has been absent in the fight for Western New York: on job creation, opioids, infrastructure and property tax relief. Senator Gillibrand has failed our families and our small businesses. I know we can do better, that's why I'm strongly endorsing Chele Farley for US Senate and encouraging others to support her campaign today.”
Said Farley: “Western New Yorkers are fed up with Kirsten Gillibrand. We are losing people and businesses to other states. We have a balance-of-payments deficit of $48 billion per year -- money that we need to repair bridges and highways here at home. What has she done about it? Nothing. Gillibrand is focused on running for President instead of representing the hardworking families of New York. I can't think of a better ally in this fight than Congressman Collins, and I am grateful to him for his continued advocacy for the taxpayers and families of Western New York."
Chele Farley is an outsider with over 25 years of experience in the private sector. She is the Republican, Conservative and Reform Party candidate for U.S. Senate. Farley lives in New York City with her husband Richard and their three sons. For more information about U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley, please visit www.CheleFarleyforSenate.com
