New York, New York– US Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) today announced that she has earned the strong endorsement of Congressman Lee Zeldin (NY-1) in her bid to defeat incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand this November.
The latest endorsement represents support from every senior Republican elected official in New York state, including former Governor George Pataki, Reps. Peter King (NY-2), Elise Stefanik (NY-21), John Faso (NY-19), Claudia Tenney (NY-22), John Katko (NY-24), Dan Donovan (NY-11), Tom Reed (NY-23) and Chris Collins (NY-27). Former US Senator Alfonse D’Amato, an earlier Gillibrand backer who threw his support behind Farley’s candidacy, he said, because Gillibrand “abandoned New Yorkers in her pursuit of her presidential ambitions.”
“Chele Farley is an effective leader, communicator and problem-solver. I am confident that Chele Farley will deliver for Long Island’s families and small businesses with tenacity. Whether it is her advocacy on behalf of families with autistic children, support for a stronger and more effective foreign policy and national security strategy, or use of her background in industrial engineering to fix our state’s infrastructure, Chele will be a fantastic Senator, and has earned my full support,” said Rep. Zeldin.
Said Farley: “I am grateful for Lee’s support in this critical race to confront and fix the challenges of our state. Congressman Zeldin understands the difference between talk and action, and his record of reform and values helped inspire my own run for US Senate. I look forward to delivering for Long Island after our campaign defeats Senator Kirsten Gillibrand this November. The time for change is now.”
