FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 15, 2018
U.S. Senate Candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) issued the following statement as the U.S. Senate cuts short its summer recess and gets back to official business today.
“After being called out earlier this week for her do nothing record for New York, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand should be back in Washington for official business. While other Democratic colleagues will be meeting with Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Gillibrand will be skipping out to speak at a liberal activist event. The group’s sole agenda is to prevent Kavanaugh from getting a fair and impartial hearing before the U.S. Senate.”
“Senator Gillibrand continues to put personal litmus tests on judicial nominees to embolden here credentials among the far left of her party, so she can run for President in 2020. New Yorkers elected her to represent them not to grandstand at some political rally in Washington. If Senator Gillibrand doesn’t want to do the job she was elected to she should step aside. I am ready to go to Washington and work for New York.”
