For Immediate Release: September 11, 2018
New York, New York - U.S. Senate candidate Chele Farley (R, C, Reform) today released the following statement on the anniversary of September 11th.
On this day 17 years ago, our nation, our city and our state were attacked by an enemy with hatred for American values and ideals. Nearly 3,000 of our fellow citizens lost their lives. It was a day New Yorkers will never forget.
But the worst of our enemies brought out the best in everyday Americans. The bravery, resilience and courage demonstrated by our first-responders and others remain an inspiration and a symbol of unshakable American resolve.
That fighting faith is still with us today in the brave men and women who keep us safe. Military personnel, law enforcement, border security and others risk their lives to protect us. We owe them our thanks, especially those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
In these polarized days it's crucial to remember that Americans will always stand with each other in a crisis. Let us use this anniversary to honor those we lost on that terrible September day. Let us also pledge to find in their memory the unity and strength we need in troubling times. God bless America.
